I know this is old news but we went to Darling Quarter again today and were reminded of what a great family day out it is.
Coming from the east, it's one of the first exits out of the cross city tunnel, 2 turns and about 1 minute and your straight into the car park. The car park is $13 all day parking and the lift lets you out right in the middle of Darling Quarter.

We took swimmers and towels so our three girls could enjoy the Water Park in all its glory. It is truly amazing - it's a water maze that allows you to pump
water, open gates to let the water flood through and even move levers to change
the direction of the water. What water park would be complete without the water
fountains that pop up.

The girls had such a great time trying to run through them without getting wet. Needless to say, I'm glad they were in their swimmers and we brought towels.

Once the fun of the Water Park was wearing thin and the cries for food started, we diverted their attention. We got them dried and dressed and headed to the slides. There are a couple of small slippery slides that land into the sandpit.
Then there's the big slide that the Dads love and use their children as an excuse to go on. My husband must have gone on that slide at least a dozen times with all three girls in tow.
Lunchtime - so many options at Darling Harbour and nearby the playground. We opted for chicken rolls prepared at home and headed to the nearest section of grass in the sunshine.
A quick walk through the nearby Paddy's Market completed our day out before heading back to the car. The girls had such a great day, they all fell to sleep on the drive back home.
