However, today is a gorgeous sunny day and so have the washing machine cranked up to make the most of it and the kids are outside - Yeah!
But all this wet and cold weather had me thinking of other 'rainy day' activities for the kids to avoid or at least, limit, Cabin Fever. So, the other week I came across a new activity and it's FREE. It does require a slight amount of patience and time though as it worked for me but not so good for my hubby! Coles Supermarkets have just introduced toddler shopping trolleys. I took two of my three children there the other week (18 month old and 3 year old) and we spent 45 minutes in the supermarket. With a trolley each, they had a ball wheeling their 'mini me' trolleys up and down the aisles collecting all sorts of things along the way. At the end of the trip (i.e. when my patience wore out), we returned the trolley's and the goods and went home. LOCAL, FREE and didn't involve making a mess at home - What more could you want?!
